It’s Summertime and you know what that means (no, not time to buy a new Super Soaker and fill it with tequila), there’s just about nothing on TV. Sure we have the Olympics, but there’s a limit to how much gymnastics I can watch.

Today I was reminded of the best thing John Mayer has ever done. Before you click on that Facebook button in your Bookmarks, let me explain…I’m not talking about John Mayer’s music. Say what you want about his music being for soccer moms and sorority girls, John Mayer is awesomely funny. From his appearance on Chappele’s Show to his great skit on Funny or Die, John Mayer has proved that the world would be better off if he stopped making records and started making movies.

Which brings me back to the greatest thing he’s ever done. In 2004, Mayer made a half-hour comedy special called John Mayer Has a TV Show. From the opening skit where he dresses like a bear, goes into the parking lot before his own concert and tells a group of women that “John Myers is gay,” I was hooked. I found it on YouTube, so do yourself a favor and watch John Mayer mock, harass, and ridicule his own fans:
